Preparing for an International Move: This is advice with experience promoting [Name removed by Sirelo] as relocation manager with Laser International. Aaron@Lasermoving.com; www.reliablerelocations.com. I had to move a collection of boxes including fragile items and several furniture pieces from Colorado, USA to a small town in, Norway. I got quotes from a number of well-known and lesser known companies speaking over the phone and sometimes exchanging texts. These exchanges gave me important insight into their trustworthiness, knowledgeability and the likelihood of scheduling the dates I needed and whether there might be unexpected fees. Reliable Relocations's relocation manager inspired confidence in their methods, fairness, flexibility in pricing, and ease of preparation on my end. The flexibility related to my possible dates of readiness and to the uncertainty of whether my total load would exceed my estimate, which I chose to do on my own. They were able to give me clear contingency prices in case my load had an overflow beyond my estimate of roughly 200 cubic feet, or 5.5 cubic meters. I was assigned a “crate” or “box” for this move which was 7-feet by 4-feet by 7-feet tall which would sail in a shared container. I chose to pack everything myself rather than ask them to do it, purchased three sizes of boxes to accommodate larger bubble-wrapped items, as Aaron said, the team was quite good at Tetris. I was kept informed throughout with time estimates and was relieved the shipment would not arrive in Norway before I did. It had to be taken to Belgium first. From there it became a “local move” and a tall Norwegian gentleman delivered it without problems on the day and time I was given. I thoroughly researched and scoured the ex-pat sites to get recommendations for my move from the U.S. to Portugal. [Name removed by Sirelo] was horrible to deal with. He was perfect before signing a contract for a responsive, very thoughtful and provided excellent service. Once the contract was sign, he ghosted me stopped replying to emails and even stopped sending invoices until I chased them. His lack of knowledge in Australian import tax meant I ended up paying additional thousands of dollars unexpectedly because of lack of awareness. He failed to take accountability for that mistake. Overall an awful person and awful experience. Do not use them.

Just completed a move from Boston to Edinburgh, Scotland with Laser. To be honest, we read so many horror stories about international moves that we were more than a little nervous. I moved from USA back to NZ in early 2025. I have had a bad experience with movers, namely American Van Lines, and had trepidations about working with another company. However I had a lot of other things going on, namely with my health, and decided it would take a huge load off me to find a good company. I could not recommend Laser International, and [Name removed by Sirelo] enough. After a horrifying experience with another company, [Name removed by Sirelo] was responsive, professional, kind and guided us through this complex process with absolute ease. He explained every step and answered every question no matter how strange! My shipment arrived in the time frame quoted, for the price quoted and not one thing was broken. We had a lot of old, very fragile items that arrived intact. No boxes were damaged, wet or water damaged. Laser International were absolutely fantastic!!

The person we dealt with in Texas was very pleasant and seemed informative. Our issue was the cost fo the shipment which ended up being more than 50% higher than the quote we were given. On [Name removed by Sirelo]'s advice we kept reducing our items to fit a 20ft container. Poundage was never mentioned, only the volume. On receipt of the invoice, it states our shipment came to 1100 cu ft, bigger than a 20ft container. There wasn't much to do, other than pay the amount as we couldn't dispute something that we couldn't see. The shipment arrived as expected, and the receiving company, Constantine were excellent. We were somewhat suprised to see a normal 20 ft container drive up on delivery and even more surprised when the guys opened the container, see a three quarters full (at the most) interior. The removal guys were also surprised at how small our shipment was as they deal with shipment everyday and were expecting to have a full day unloading when in fact it only took a couple of hours. I queried this with [Name removed by Sirelo], as we understood the shipment was much larger going on the invoice we received. No, Ma'm your shipment was very heavy and that is why your costs went up. We could not disprove this and it was the first time, the poundage was mentioned by [Name removed by Sirelo]. Short of weighing every single box or package, we could not prove the weight. This has left a very sour taste in our mouths and we would not recommend this company.

Therefore, it was decided; we were moving everything back home to Miami, Florida. Both times [Name removed by Sirelo] assisted us, he was and is exceptional, always trying to do his best for everything to go as fast and smoothly as possible. He was always available, and if he wasn’t, then he would get back to us ASAP. I always felt that we were in good hands. And when you ship your personal belongings across the world, that’s a very important feeling to have for the time in between pickup and delivery (at least it was for me) The pickup and delivery company Laser International uses was also exceptional! Everything went smoothly and fast, yet with the upmost care for our belongings. Nothing was damaged, not at arrival in Cascais, Portugal and not at arrival here in Miami last week. Everything really went great. And I am not easy to please! But the way they handled both shipment, I would 1005 recommend them to everyone! Truly a highly professional and knowledgeable company that is honest and will always give you transparency during the entire process. There are lots of companies that promise the same, but then once you’ve paid, they leave you hanging. That is ABSOLUTELY not the case for Laser International. I recently shipped a container of furniture, the cargo was delivered only after a week the ship arrived at the Port of Genoa, therefore one item was missing because goods were unsupervised during the easter holiday, also few items were damaged. I called and sent e-mails to the local branch manager to solicit him to provide me the insurance policy to open a claim for compensation, as the premium was paid for in the contract. At the end he just made vague promises and never sent me any info to file a claim through the insurance company but just sneaked away and disappeared. I reccomend everyone not to do businesses with this company, at least in Florida because their branchmanager is a shady and dishonest individual, I will try to sue them !

We had a long and very successful journey with Laser International. We started discussions with [Name removed by Sirelo] from Laser in February '22 and each step of the way we found him to be knowledgeable, easy going and very patient with all our questions! We planned out the move from Miami, FL to Porto, Portugal in great detail - video surveys, lists of items, etc. Over the course of our planning, things changed - we sold, donated or gave some of the larger items to family, and kept changing the arrival date. We ended up routing the items via Belgium in a shared container vs the full container we originally planned for. Well, we just had the items delivered and so far everything looks good. The teams in Miami and in Porto handled the packing and unpacking perfectly. I recently moved from Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Hoenheim, near Strasbourg, in France. Laser International and its subcontractors (including Ace moving in Oklahoma and Gosselin moving in Europe) did a wonderful job, from pickup in Tulsa to delivery in Hoenheim. Everyone did a careful job, and there was no damage. And everything was perfectly on time. I was particularly impressed by the friendliness and energy of the Gosselin employees Lee and Mike who delivered our items in France. This was not easy, since in France elevators are tiny and parking is extremely cramped. I did not expect the move to be pleasant, just competent; but it was a pleasure.

I had read horrror stories in the reviews of different moving companies about endless wait times, agents who suddenly went silent, extra charges, and lost or broken items. My experience with Laser International was exactly the opposite. My furniture arrived exactly as predicted and that to the day! I worked with Laser International to move 30 boxes from Chicago, IL to Bath, England. The whole process was straightforward and easy to understand. It took about 6 weeks for my boxes to arrive which is a lot sooner than I expected! [Name removed by Sirelo] was communicative and answered all my questions quickly. Laser International made my move simple.

This started off well from the US side. The person we dealt with [Name removed by Sirelo] was really great. As our items were delivered to Europe that’s when the wheels fell off, over all totally dissatisfied with the European partner service, communication and little follow up we received. From marks left on our walls, to last minute changes, losing (and not noticing) our largest piece of furniture and blaming the others for all these issues. The price paid is for top quality service, sadly not what we received (on European side). The experience was painful. As I said in my correspondence, I could not in good conscience recommend this company. We hoped to receive a partial refund as we certainly did not receive anything close to the service we paid for. That was refused and we received no further assistance whatsoever. Moving is stressful enough, save yourself the additional headache and chaos and avoid at all costs.

When we aksed if driving the goods to a major city pickup was more affordable which it was, there was no issue in us doing this. Some things to note were, we were over the estimated weight, and a couple of items, awkward chairs, did not fit. Laser also dissasembled a chair which was no problem and fine. They packed a computer for us which was perfect. Nothing was damaged or broken in transit, shipping was fast and painless, highly recommend [Name removed by Sirelo to handle your shipment.

I can highly recommend Laser for top quality service and very fair prices.

I found Laser in early 2023 through a quote aggregator where you provide basic details about your move and companies then reach out to you. My wife and I had actually already moved abroad from the US when we began the process (the goal was to finally get our stuff from storage!). Laser was the first to contact me and immediately drew my favor because when I pointed out I had an international number, the relocation manager [Name removed by Sirelo] quickly offered to switch to WhatsApp. None of the other providers offered that convenience. [Name removed by Sirelo] was then extremely responsive throughout the process. You need to expect everything to cost more than you think and take a bit longer than you think, but I really felt comfortable throughout the process with Laser, and the moving companies they contract with on each side of the move (picking stuff up and unloading on the other side) were professional and pleasant to work with. Laser Shipping was recommended to me by a colleague who had used them to move internationally, and he said that Laser offered the best rates and service, and I have to say I agree 100% with that assessment. Having utilized them for my own international move, my rep, [Name removed by Sirelo], was super responsive, informative no matter how many dumb or awesome questions I had, and never pushed any services on me that I didn't request. He was able to provide me with ballpark estimates in advance of getting the actual volume of my possessions, and as a result I was never surprised when the bill came due. Additionally, there's always two parts to the movie -- the shipping, and the arrival. The moving company that arrived at my apartment to pack up all my stuff (Laser provides full service packing through a local, reliable vendor) and they were thorough and fast. It would have taken me a month to pack all my stuff up. The movers who arrived (and bubble wrapped the heck out of everything) did it in a day, around 10-11 hours as I have a lot of stuff, like collectibles that needed careful packing. These guys were great. On the other side of the world, their local partners did a fantastic job bringing everything into my apartment, and setting it down where I needed, and a lot of that stuff was heavy. In addition, the delivery team also provided me with cardboard box disposal and made multiple trips to my apartment to pick up and dispose of all of my boxes as fast as I was able to empty them. I consider this excellent, 360 degree service that could have been a nightmare, but was in all honest an excellent service from start to finish. See if you can say that about a simple international flight, without anything going wrong. This was a multi-faceted international move involving a 3/4 full 40' shipping container's worth of stuff, and yet it was a nearly flawless experience. Out of everything we moved, only a couple of picture frames ended up being cracked on the delivery end of the entire effort, and that's something I can certainly live with, all things considered. I highly recommend Laser International for service, prices, and professionalism. If I ever find myself moving internationally again, I will definitely seek out Laser again.

We haven't received our cargo yet (the move date was July 6 - and the container hadn't left for Europe yet). But so far so good.

It's hard to believe that the boxes traveled across the ocean. When I've opened some of the boxes the contents don't look shook up at all. (Even with the cost of the shipment I honestly expected it to arrive in a mess.) Third: the moving crews that picked up our goods in Virginia including the final unloading crew that delivered our household goods to our home in Portugal were fantastic! We moved from the US to the UK and Laser were very professional from the start of the process to the finish. A much more thorough quote and not pushy with the sell at all, unlike other competitors we looked at. Then a very smooth process from that point in. Would highly recommend.

They offer competitive prices and the customer service seems great at first, but once your stuff is picked up, they are very hands off. They limit their communication to replying to emails, and you deal directly with the company they pick in the country where you are moving. In our case, the moving company in the Ñetherlands was a terrible one and it had really low ratings. The contract is made in a way that makes the client responsible for almost everything that goes wrong, so I am not surprised that Laser doesn't do anything to help or advocate on your behalf when you run into problems. For us, it was a disappointing experience and I wouldn't use them again. Our delivery took 15 weeks to arrive (the interval that they specify is 8 -12 weeks) and we paid for services that we never received and were never reimbursed. We were also shocked at the amount of paper that was used to pack our stuff but given that you pay by volume, this is probably just another way for them to make money. We unpacked a box that contained one pair of shoes and the rest was filled with packing paper. Wooden spoons were individually wrapped in 2-3 sheets of paper. Boxes containing clothes were also stuffed with packing paper.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience with a big international move. [Name removed by Sirelo] took care of us every step of the way and Laser International ensured our happiness with the service. Go ahead and end the search so you can focus on all the other things that come with a move.

No Competition, Laser International is the best !! Allow me to clarify my opening remark as to be perfectly correct, [Name removed by Sirelo] from Laser is absolutely the best. When I first started my search for a worldwide mover I found a referral site on google and entered my information which as a result 6 movers contacted me and I had found another as well. So from a total of 7 moving companies no one offered the services along with a competitive price as [Name removed by Sirelo]. Two of the others companies stood out as well, but not for any positive reasons. The one which was the first to contact me insisted I sign his contract that day as there could be a war and the freight lines could double in price, I declined and his price turned out to be 75% above the Laser quote. The other company refused to bring the 3 containers to my home to be loaded and said the most they would bring was 1 and if I trusted the company who agreed to bring 3 to my home (which was Laser) I should hire them, and on his words that is exactly what I did. My wife is kind of a review research expect and Laser had some awesome reviews and I can understand why. Fast forward ---my containers arrived in Europe in a port other than the country I had moved to as planned as [Name removed by Sirelo] knew which ports where less likely to be so busy that I would be charged an additional fee for Port storage. All moving companies have the additional fee in their quotes and reviews talk about the fee sometimes causing the original quote to double. My containers where delayed in the moving companies warehouse but I was never charged an additional fee for that and [Name removed by Sirelo] updated me a few times a week on when my containers should be delivered. Yes things don,t always go perfect but I never felt abandoned or like I had a problem, just a hiccup in Life. The most important thing to me is when my items arrived all where in perfect condition. My items included a 55” television, 3 CPU units along with 10 monitors as well as pictures and paintings. Moved household from Texas, USA to Sligo, Ireland and had an absolutely seamless and amazing experience with Reliable Relocations. I was living in Ireland already and handled everything remotely. There was paperwork needed for pickup from my storage unit, shipping (I went by sea), customs, (for fees and also itemized list of goods), plus the local logistics company here in Ireland that delivered the shipment. He assessed the staff and space we had to send, and we could send many last-minute, small items that we hadn't considered. We could send more staff/furniture if we knew this in advance. We moved household goods and furniture from our storage unit in Chicago to our new apartment in Berlin, Germany.[Name removed by Sirelo] and the rest of the team from Laser International were helpful and informative. There were no big surprises in terms of the final cost vs. the initial quote. In Europe, the shipment was handled by a Belgian company contracted by Laser, who were also very helpful, especially when it came to releasing our shipment from customs. The whole move (Chicago-Berlin) was incredibly fast and only took four weeks (probably a fluke).

I went with Laser International to ship some family heirlooms from Lubbock, Texas to Canberra, Australia. [Name removed by Sirelo] was the main contact point, and he was incredibly professional and patient with my questions. I was somewhat nervous with a transnational-transoceanic move, especially going from 1 remote location to another remote location. But [Name removed by Sirelo] was efficient and diligent, and the Laser International crew (including their subcontractors) were extremely courteous and careful with the shipment. They also went above and beyond the call of duty, with regular updates on the shipment location and alerts on anything potentially affecting shipment. They are very professional. I highly recommend their services, and plan to use them again in the future.

The company misevaluated the size of my moving, which resulted in extra costs for me. They subcontracted packing which resulted in excessive disassembling of furniture. The move run late, arriving in Dublin during Xmas holidays, which again resulted in more extra costs at the port due to demurage, since they corresponding agent was unable to get necessary documentation from the shipping line.

We just moved from Virginia, U.S. to the U.K. and have been delighted with the service we received from Laser International. We were always able to get hold of [Name removed by Sirelo] if we had questions. He made it a very easy process from start to finish and not one single item was broken in all 54 boxes. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Avoid this company by all means! We have moved over 10 times in our life with 4 international moves and this is the worth experience and the least professional company we ever had to deal with. We had a very clear discussion on our service needs and expectations with [Name removed by Sirelo] before contracting him and he fooled us and kept on raving about his positive comments that we clearly see now are certainly not real or genuine! As soon as Laser received our money (almost 30k$) they were nowhere to be seen anymore. We had to reach out to them tough emails, phones calls, WhatsApp and chase them down to have to most simple answer on our move. While they did an ok job for the US portion of the trip once our container arrived in France the whole nightmare started! Laser contracted an outside “moving company” located 300 km away from our residency and literally sent us 3 men and a van! We had a huge load of goods and a motorcycle to download and they had zero equipment and no lift on the truck or their van. They pushed my motorcycle that is 1000 pounds from the truck to the van and almost made it fall on the ground from 2 m high as they did not have a lift or any equipment of any sort! 3 men in sweat pants and a van! The move that was plan for 1 day ended up lasting 5 and during the process we were mistreated, threatened and suffered injuries as my wife and had had to help the 3 men over the all process! Some of our goods where completely damaged. We have videos and pictures of all. We ended contracting another company ourselves to finish the job! After all our suffering and reporting day after day this unacceptable, horrible situation and treatment [Name removed by Sirelo] did not even have the decency to present his excuses but sent us an email offering a 500$ refund out of the almost 30k$ we paid. This company is not only a joke they are liars and thieves! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I started contacting international movers the end of March this year in preparation for my final move back home from Georgia USA to the UK. I wasn’t moving a whole household just boxes and boxes of my personal stuff, no furniture, or appliances etc. A lot of companies I contacted did not handle small moves like mine. Others I crossed off the list as they sounded very shady for various reasons. I finally narrowed it down to two companies by the end of April but that is when I started having problems. I had a hard time getting a proper quote from either one, having them getting back to me with my questions etc. This went on for several months. One of the companies stopped answering emails altogether and the other one kept referring to her boss who sent her the answers to some of my questions with spelling mistakes and ignored important questions for her to forward to me. I was getting the feeling she was out of her depth. In June my brother told me of a company his friend was using for his move from Texas to the UK called Laser International and he was very happy with them. I contacted them straight away and [Name removed by Sirelo] answered me immediately and he and his company Laser International have been great through my whole ordeal. Within a week I had signed the contract. In all these months I wasn’t even near signing a contract with the other company and had become very stressed. I am now in the UK and my boxes have arrived safely. I couldn’t have done it without [Name removed by Sirelo] and Laser International. [Name removed by Sirelo] is great. He is very professional, friendly and he took the load off my shoulders. Laser International is the best company to work with and definitely know what they are doing! On the day our stuff was delivered in London, the movers on this side were quick and professional! All of our stuff remained undamaged and in great condition. By far, Laser International provided me the best service and support out of every other removal company I have had the experience of working with so far. We have just finished our moving from Katy - Texas to Valencia – Spain. We hired the services of LASER INTERNATIONAL – Worldwide Moving and Storage and we are really happy with the results, they did an excellent job moving our goods. The process went smoothly from start to finish and there was not any damage to the pieces moved. We want to highlight specially the professional work done by the relocation Manager Mr. [name removed by Sirelo] who guided us all along the process answering our questions and satisfying our requests and needs either personally or through his crew, and everything went as planned and promised. Both the USA crew and the Spain crew were very kind and efficient and they certainly exceeded our expectations. Best possible move you can hope for. Let me try to summarize my experience with Laser: FYI, you will see this review on any other platform. I intended to write individual review per platform, but honestly I think the below describes my experience pretty accurately. My move was from Texas to Germany, scheduled for end of Feb '22 (my plan). Quoting, Estimates, Customer service: I had to go through a lot of calls, mails, etc. with a lot of companies. While many bombard you with mails and calls, Laser (especially [name removed by Sirelo]), was nice, professional and just present enough to stay permanently on my radar. That already was a big plus for me, because I'm getting annoyed quickly by Sales people. Good start Laser, thanks to [name removed by Sirelo] you assigned the right guy to me. Estimates from Laser, were nothing short of spot on. And they were not rolling the dice. I mean that the estimate of the volume, weight which they base their price on, was spot on. I paid almost exactly what [name removed by Sirelo] estimated (within a 3% interval). That is mind-blowing and impressive if you consider what the estimate is based on (video tour!) To make it better, the estimate of the delivery was also spot on. [name removed by Sirelo] estimated 6-8 weeks from pick-up, it was delivered within the 8th week. Now, some words on this: We are (were when I wrote this) in the middle of a period of globally disrupted supply chains, container shortages, general shipping shortages, even war. Laser held up their promise! Think about it for a moment. That is significant for your planning. I don't know if I was just lucky, but there is not even the slightest complaint here and only praise! That might be important for the reviewer as it would have been for me, let me add some comments on people complaining about stuff not being delivered on time or Laser not answering or whatever: a) Laser always answered b) You really haven't understood how this works as Laser works with partners. All these partners are very professional and nice. But you need to understand, that Laser is not the only company they do business with, that means Laser has limited control over these partners. If you don't understand that, stop confusing people. I realized that late in the game of my selection process that I have to dismiss this feedback. It's almost like Amazon reviews when people give 1-star reviews of a product because packaging was damaged... Packaging, delivery of goods, damaged goods: That will be a short paragraph, packaging was perfect, delivery was perfect. Damaged goods? None! Think about this for a moment! None, not one vase, mirror, or glass was broken. We were moving a complete household to Germany! I think that speaks for itself when it comes to the quality of the work done, quality of the packaging and the delivery. Let me try to summarize this, and I do hope this helps you reading this: I can't imagine any better experience moving my stuff internationally. The only thing I regret is spending the insane amount of time finding Laser. If I ever need to relocate internationally again, it will be Laser.
